Wynne Jenkins was a native of Llangennech, near Llanelli. The form and colour of the landscape and buildings of his Wales, were his love and inspiration. To portray these, his medium was the palette knife. He was much influenced by the work of Sir Kyffin Williams and Gwilym Prichard. He also admired the works of Josef Herman, Wil Roberts, Claudia Williams, Shani Rhys James and Tom Nash.
