BEE ADAMS
Bee trained at the Arts Educational Schools in London before going on to Goldsmiths College. After fifteen years working as a history producer, radio presenter and journalist at the BBC, she became arts editor for Coast & Country magazine and began working as a full time artist. She finds inspiration in the natural coupling of texture and colour that takes place on the wave battered shoreline. 'Our lives are transient, but the ocean remains - ceaseless - constant. We perish, leaving nothing behind to mark our passing save a jumble of evocative fragments, which are eventually reconstructed by decay and thrown up by the changing tides. In this, our detritus, I see our real colours.'
