My paintings start with an idea or subject I find interesting. As I paint I pick up energy from the image and hopefully this relates a message to the viewer. I like people to conclude there own opinion or story in each painting. Watercolour is always a challenge and doesn't allow many mistakes. Often the finished work is a battle that I've lost but the result is exciting.
