Art has fascinated me for as long as I can remember, and it has always been an integral part of my life. I began by selling rough sketches drawn during my visits to various places, often catching the interest of onlookers who stopped to watch me work. I was fortunate enough to retire early and acquire a studio/gallery at The Model House, Llantrisant which enabled me to dedicate myself fully to mastering the technique of painting with a palette knife. My style is unique and distinctive in its precision. I strive to maintain a tight, controlled application of paint rather than a rougher approach. This technique enables me to create highly detailed compositions that are rarely achieved through traditional palette knife painting. I love the challenge of capturing the beauty of the landscapes around me, particularly the cottages and farms that pepper the hills and mountains of Wales. There is something magical about the muted tones of a winter sky set against a symphony of infinite greens. The simplicity of the images and the harmony of the colours inspire me to create these scenes through my art.
